LESSON PLAN PHILOSOPHY
As a high school teacher, I will have around 150 students with different personalities, academic goals and barometers of success. My lesson plans have to account for each one of them, and not just the whole “highway.” I need to make sure that my lesson plans are not broad and generic lectures that could technically apply to all students. Instead, I want them to consist of different activity options that meet the learning objective for each student. By giving students a choice on how they choose to learn the class content, I will be creating a classroom environment where students are engaged and more willing to learn, because it is geared to who they are as individuals.
